Trip to Niagra Falls
We took a short family trip to Niagra Falls, Canada May 11th - 15th. We gathered with Carrie’s family to celebrate Celine’s birthday, along with Mother’s Day.
Staying on the Canada side of the Falls is the way to go. The area is very touristy, but a lot of fun - the main street where our hotel was is like a New Jersey boardwalk - lots of food, sweets, arcades, and rides. However, if you walked down the hill past all of that, you were in a nice park that overlooked the falls, and then if you crossed the street you could look directly across at the American falls, line up for the Maid of the Mist boat ride (highly recommended!) or walk about a mile down the road to where the Canadian “horseshoe” falls were.
Tobey was the only kid on the trip, but he enjoyed the extra attention and had a great time playing with his Uncle Karl, Aunt Amy, and Grandma Teach. He discovered a love for ice cream, swam in the indoor pool at our hotel, played putt putt, and rode on the Sky Wheel outside our hotel twice.
I received some great news on Monday - a search for a new job ended with a call from Denver that I was being extended a contract offer from Thomson Healthcare! More on this news soon…
