What’s new in Twizzler-land?

Twizzler, our faithful chocolate Labrador Retriever celebrates her 9th birthday today.

She’s still quite energetic and happy, and can run circles around dogs that are a few years younger than her, thanks to her daily walks. She was sad to see her “sister” Ashley leave for college recently, because she’s lost her daytime friend and weekday dog walker. She now has to wait a few extra hours for human companionship and for that ever-important walk each day. But, life is still pretty good.

We all sang happy birthday to her this morning before leaving for the day, and I was able to sneak away from work and give her a PB sandwhich over the lunch hour today. No candles though, but there’s still tonight!
