Put a fork in me, I’m done
You may remember our family trip to San Diego this past October. Thanks to Chris Nicholl’s planning — Mike Lockwood, Chris and myself had an incredible outing at Torrey Pines one day for 18 holes of golf. Torrey Pines is a long, tough course that has several holes running towards or along the Pacific Ocean.
Well, it just so happens that the PGA Golf Tour is playing the Buick Invitational there this weekend, so I thought I would check in on Tiger’s progress today. As you might expect, Tiger is amongst the leaders (1 shot back) after the third round in a tournament that he has already won 3 times. No big surprise, and being a big Tiger fan, I’m happy to see it.
But, there is one thing that jumped out at me, that I will forever treasure, til my last swing of the driver, hopefully someday in the distant future. Let’s go to the scorecards, shall we?

Green is good my family and friends, and you’ll quickly note that Tiger has a lot more of it than I did, but you’ll notice that I actually shot a birdie on a hole that Tiger received a par for! How many regular people can claim they shot a lower score than Tiger on the same golf hole/course as him?
Note: My scorecard is not entirely accurate, as I don’t have it in front of me, and I’m sure my actual score in October was higher, but you get the idea. My birdie on the 3rd hole is the honest truth though.

This is great! Nice to know you’ve got a more solid game than Tiger when it comes to the par 3s…
