Father’s Day
Yes, it’s a belated blog entry, but you’ll see from the next entry the reason why.
Still, belated or not, I wanted to share the events and pictures from Father’s Day.
Dad/Gramps came down to Englewood late morning. It was a beautiful sunny (hot) day. Tobey, Carrie, Dad and I all headed to the neighborhood pool, along with Tobey’s friend Alex and his father Will. Tobey and Carrie swam and played while my Dad and I played a set of tennis. (Yes, he beat me, and no, I didn’t throw the set!) After sweating on the court, Dad and I joined Tobey in the pool. Tobey was excited to try the diving board after seeing Alex do it, but was having trouble getting the nerve up for it. (Alex is 7)
After swimming, we had a nice lunch that Carrie prepared. Then we went home for Tobey’s afternoon nap. Grammy joined us right around the time woke up and we headed over to the nearby Wildlife Experience. Tobey enjoyed the animals, but the underwater themed lego exhibit was definitely the highlight, especially since it was quite interactive.
Afterwards we all had a nice dinner together. It was a great Father’s Day. Thanks to my Dad for sharing your day with us, and I hope all you father’s out there had a fun day with your children and family.
Here are a few pictures from the day’s events.

Great picture story of Father’s Day, Papa! Especially like the picture of Kenneth Wayne, Alan Wayne, and Tobey Wayne early in the day. What fun we had! Love, Grammy

Getting to see everyone ‘in person’ again makes a happy day!
