Mom’s birthday weekend
August 7-9th was my Mom’s birthday weekend. Her actual birthday was on August 9th, but we celebrated it early and often, as a birthday should be celebrated. Amy and Brian made the surprise trip down from Minnesota for the extended weekend.
On Friday night, we met up at Wolfgang Puck’s at the Denver Pavilions downtown. Ashley and her boyfriend Richard also joined us. We had a great dinner and Tobey had a good time flirting with the hostesses every time he went outside to stretch his legs.
On Saturday morning I met Mom, Dad, Amy and Brian at Morrison exit and we headed up to Carbondale to see Gram and Gramp. We spent lunchtime with Gram and Gramp and got to see where Gramp had been staying. Gramp was leaving that coming Monday to head back to Redstone.
On Sunday night we headed up to Boulder for dinner with my Mom and Dad at their house. Amy and Brian hooked up with us after dinner. We had a little cake and sang to my Mom. My Dad, and Amy and I all stayed up late working on a virtual card for Mom and a movielet of Tobey saying “Happy Birthday Grammy”.
Monday was the conclusion of birthday weekend with a spa date for the ladies. My Dad and Uncle Brian hung out with Tobey while I worked in my Mom’s office. Mom, Dad and Tobey took a long stroll that afternoon before we finally had to head home.

We look pretty great at 25 and 45! It sure was a fun evening. And great to have Amy and Brian and Ashley and Richard jon us!
