25th Bolder Boulder
Memorial Day is a day to remember the men and women who gave their lives to defend this great nation - both recently and long ago.
Memorial Day is also when the annual Bolder Boulder 10K is held - a family tradition for the Switzers. This year, with Amy and Brian’s return, we had a full contingent of 5 runners staying at Mom and Dad’s in Boulder.
Personally, I ran a recent best of 52:40. Thanks to Mom and Dad for having us stay at their house overnight to make for a smooth race morning, to my sister Amy for pacing us so well and making the entire run fun, and to my wife Carrie - for watching Tobey while I got in a few much-needed training runs the past week.

Thanks for the great pictures! Tobey is quickly morphing from newborn infant to a cute baby boy! The smile while sitting on his pony is precious! It was good seeing pictures of the rest of the family also!!

It is great to see all the beautiful people so soon after the big day. Carrie and Tobey look content in the same restful pose! I’m sure Gramps is beaming back there somewhere.

Loved the pictures Alan! They capture the great weekend we had! I’m thinking Gramps was not ‘captured’ in a picture because he was such a busy boy! He shuttled runners before the race, walked home after the race, and collasped on the couch after lunch.
Love, Grammy

Thanks for the cute pictures, Alan.
We had a wonderful weekend also. We went to a cookout at a friend with a pool and trampoline. Alex had fun entertaining us with flips, then beat all players at croquet eventho he’d never played before! The we had a cookout yesterday here to celebrate Uncle Dave’s 53rd birthday! Saw "Bruce Almighty" and it is very funny and terific!

Yesterday was so much fun! I’m amazed at how much baby Tobey is growing. It’s as though each week that we see him, he’s an entirely new baby (he changes so much, so quickly).
Alan, thanks right back at you for helping to pace me during the Bolder Boulder. It was perfect to run the whole race together.
Carrie, you are looking great. I love the identical pose pic of you and Tobey : )
Thanks Mom and Dad for your hospitality and delicious meals.
