New Twizzler family member on the way! Back from Aspen.
If you haven’t already heard, Carrie is pregnant with our 2nd child and is due April 5th, 2003. It’s been a long road, but we are extremely excited and grateful that our prayers were answered.
We just spent Labor Day weekend up in Aspen (as has been a tradtition for the last 12+ years) for the annual Motherlode volleyball tournament. I did not play this year (played with Alvin Cooper in Open last year) but it was a great opportunity to tell many of our friends the exciting news. We also got to share with the Hansen family, whom we miss dearly since they moved to North Carolina, and have two beautiful young children of their own - Trey and Tori.
Instead of a traditional cigar to announce the new family member on the way, we chose to use family’s nickname (the Twizzlers) and give people we ran into a package of licorice with a label we added as the clue that we were expecting a baby next April.
