Back to school at C.C.H.S.
Last night, it was back to school night at Cherry Creek High School. Ashley is a freshman there this year. When I attended High School at Fairview in Boulder, I had a larger than average graduating class of 635. Cherry Creek typically has graduating classes that are 1000 and up. The school itself is huge. Ashley had to draw and mark up several different maps as she travels to several different buildings throughout the day to attend all of her classes. All of her teachers seemed very bright, capable, and eager to help all students.
I grew up disliking Cherry Creek thru sports rivalries and a general jealousy of the high quality of their facilities. Interesting to be on the other side now as a parent. As soon as Ashley stepped thru those doors this year, I became a fan, and I think she’ll have a great education there.
